  • Hi Elizabeth, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

Thanks for reaching out and sharing that you're experiencing a similar problem. Were you able to try the Storyline solution that Katie shared above?

If you'd like us to take a look, feel free to share the .mp4 file.

  • I have found a solution!!! - if you go into Storyline and 'Insert Video' you will see that is imports fine but you know Replay doesn't like it.

Preview it in Storyline then 'right click' on the video and there is an option to 'Export' rename it and voilà! when you import it in Replay it's the correct way around.

Happy Christmas! my gift to you :)

Importing the video in Storyline and Exporting as a new file doesn't work; the new file still appears rotated on its side in Replay. This seems like a very specific lack of functionality in Articulate Replay. The video is already in MP4 format

  • Hi Jeremy,

Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue. I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:

Additionally, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a look at what's happening with your video file? We are currently tracking a known issue that seems to flip .MOV files, so I'd like to see if the issue you're encountering is somewhat related.

  • Thanks for letting us know, Jeremy!

One of our talented Support Engineers will be in touch with you shortly.

    Have a great afternoon! ☀️

I upload in PPT, rotate as needed, then Export as Video instead of saving the file.

Hi, having a similar issue with Replay. Tried the video editor hack (.MOV to .MP4) mentioned above but its not flipping over in Replay. and in Storyline, the video import button on the Insert ribbon is not an option for me! How do I fix this? My video is.MOV and opens fine (correctly rotated in Windows Media Player) but seems to flip in Replay. Thanks

      Hi Nisha!

Sorry to hear you are also experiencing issues with the formatting of your videos after importing them to Replay 360!

I see that you've already opened a support case and connected with my colleague Georvy. You're in excellent hands working one-on-one with him!

It looks like Georvy replied to your e-mail with some feedback and troubleshooting steps you can take. I'd suggest giving those a shot to see if that improves behavior. If not, please feel free to reply through your support case and we'd be happy to continue troubleshooting with you!
