Reset Quiz after revisiting from the menu - not the results slide

Hello All! I need some help!

I have set up a quiz where learners are allowed to retry three times with a retry button setup to show/present only incorrect questions.

BUT If they don't click retry on the results slide and revisit parts of the course from the menu and then try the quiz again from the menu, the quiz isn't resetting. The learners aren't able to reselect answers, etc. I have the quiz slides set to reset to initial state when revisiting but it's not working. 

I feel like I've tried everything and nothing is working. How do you guys handle this situation where learners can revisit the content by navigating through the menu even after attempting the quiz? Any advice?
