Review comments disappearing after re-publishing

I'm having a bad tech day lol

I have an SME reviewing two Rises courses today and I received the first few comments he made in Review. I replied to his comments and made an edit. I then re-published. When I went back into Review, his comments and my replies were missing. Earlier comments are still there including older resolved ones and still active ones.

I can roll back to an earlier version and see the comments there.

I have re-started, re-booted, etc.

Help please...

  • I ran into this today as well - published a new version of an existing item and all comments are gone :-(

  • Hi Canadian ADL Lab 20! So sorry to hear all the comments disappeared after publishing a new version of an existing course. Kindly open a support case here so that one of our technical support engineers can assist you.

  • This is happening to me, where the review comments are not moving forward with each new version but I do see the comments in the older version. Please help. Thank you.

      Hi MeenuNanwani1,

      Thanks for reaching out!

That's strange behavior. Does this happen with multiple courses or just one course? Have you tried using a different browser? If you view the current version of the course and select Feedback on the right side of the screen, you should see all comments. Can you please try republishing an updated version of the existing course, and rechecking the Feedback tab?

  • Hi Kelly, thank you for your response.  This is happening for multiple courses and I noticed this behaviour a few weeks ago. I can only use Edge as the company browser. I have also opened a support ticket since this irrational behaviour is going to be impacting a dozen courses that are in flight for review. I have tried everything - feedback tab only shows the comments from the current course. So if I republish after actioning feedback - the feedback is gone! But it will be there in previous versions. All this is very stressful when you have to action feedback and have multiple review cycles.  Does it matter if the title of the course changed during the review cycles is that causing the glitch? Please help, kindly.

      Hi MeenuNanwani1,

Thanks for following up on this! I understand how frustrating this case be when working with multiple courses that need to be reviewed. Can you confirm that you're the course owner? You can change the course title, and that won't cause an issue, as long as you choose the right course when you publish a new version on an existing course.

I also checked our system for a support case and couldn't locate one for this issue. Please let me know if you have the case number or if you'd like assistance submitting a case.

  • Hi Kelly,

Thank you for following up. Yes, I am the course owner. I have just submitted a support case, the case #01056313.
