Rise - Can you copy a block between lessons?
I made several lessons in Rise, and each lesson has multiple blocks. Is it possible to copy a block from one lesson to another? I found I can duplicate blocks within a lesson, and I can duplicate entire lessons. I'm trying to copy one bock of a lesson into another existing lesson. Thanks.

Using Block templates worked as a workaround today. But, we'd like to raise our hands to vote for an easy way to copy a block to another lesson within the same course! :)
Thanks for your feedback! Our team has a feature request logged for this capability and I'll make sure your voice gets added to the discussion.

Thanks, Allison!
Hi Jim,
Great question - there isn't a way to copy a block from one lesson into another, but if you knew you were going to use the same set up of blocks within a lesson (or similar enough) you could look at duplicating an entire lesson and then editing/deleting as necessary from the duplicate.
It does sound like a good feature request though, so I'll add it to the list we've shared with our Product team. Keep the good ideas coming and hope you're enjoying Rise!

This feature would be Extremely helpful for re-organizing lessons. Any ETA on when this feature will be available?

It's wild to me that it's been 4 years since this original post, and there still isn't a convenient way to copy individual blocks from one lesson to another. Block templates are an okay workaround, but still a workaround, and not very convenient if you're not planning to reuse the block in other content. C'mon Articulate, this should be fairly easy to implement!

Hi Sam,
I'm work in Rise about 6 hours each day.
I use Block Templates very regularly, and consider it to be one of the most useful features for course developers.
Well designed, quick and easy to use.
If you don't want to keep a Block Template, simply delete it.

I don't need or want everything saved as a template, that's so many steps when it could be a simple copy option that works the same as the "copy to another course" function.

Agreed. Plus it clogs up the template blocks with a ton of templates.

You can delete the templates anytime you want.

It would be really good if blocks could be copied between different Rise courses as well as from lesson to lesson.
Hi Ollie! Yes, you can reuse blocks and their content in other lessons using Block Templates!
Check out this short video to see how it's done. 👀

I agree, this feature would be very helpful. "copy to" would be good command. Especially when you are looking at an interactive block- it can be very time consuming to set up from scratch. Also certain blocks ie introductions, more information, are used in many different courses.
Hi there Paul!
If you want to copy blocks from one lesson to another, using Block Templates is the way to go!
Is there something you're trying to achieve that Block Templates won't accomplish? If so, let us know! We'd love to hear your feedback on how we can improve this feature. Thanks!

Whouw, this is verry helpfull! thanks
Hi Kim,
Thanks for chiming in here! We're looking at a feature that would allow you to copy lessons/blocks from one course to another, but I don't have an ETA for when that'll be available.
We'll keep you posted here and you can also see what features and fixes have been released up to this point by reading the Rise Version history.

Hello,
I'd like to know how to copy a block from one lesson to another lesson inside the same module. Can Rise do that?
Hi Missy,
When you click the little dots next to a lesson you'll have two options:
Duplicate will allow you to create a duplicate or a copy within the same course.
Copy to another course will allow you to reuse that lesson inside a new or existing course.
If you're looking to copy individual blocks within a course to another section of the course, look at using the block templates.
Let me know if you need anything else!
