Rise 360 - Images load with delay in LMS

Dear community,

we have uploaded Rise courses to our LMS and notice that there are significant delays when loading images. This means that after clicking on a Continue button, the next image does not load and the next Continue button is already displayed. This tempts the learner to click on this continue button. The previous image then loads only afterwards and the learner has already switched to the next information.

Does anyone know this problem and is there a solution?

Kind regards
Matthias

  • Hello Matthias,

Sorry to hear that you ran into this behavior.

I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:

    • Have you tested how your course behaves in a different environment to see if the issue is specific to your LMS? You can test your course in Review 360 or in a different LMS like SCORM Cloud  to isolate the behavior.
    • Is slow internet a possible factor in the images to loading slowly? If it is, you can check out this article for some tips on how to design courses that will be opened in slow-internet environments.
    • Is the issue browser specific? You can test how the course loads using other modern up-to-date browser to see if you experience better loading times there.
    • Have you tried lowering the resolution of the images to allow them to load quicker?

If you are able to replicate the behavior in either Review 360 or SCORM Cloud, please feel free to open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at yaour course. We'll delete it when we're done troubleshooting!

      Hello there,

Recently, I've encountered a similar issue.

After uploading a web package to the LMS, there's a delay in loading the images. Several team members have tested it and consistently experienced the same issue. Our team works in different time zones and uses various browsers and networks. I don't believe the problem is related to the network or browser, as even images less than 200 KB show the same issue. However, we couldn't replicate this problem in Review 360.

Can someone please assist with this?

      Thank you!

        Hello NikithaBhat-2d7,

        Happy to help!

Good call on testing in Review 360. This environment simulates a web server and your course working properly indicates that the behavior could be isolated to your LMS. Please try testing your course in SCORM Cloud, an LMS we use to test for LMS issues, to verify if the problem is specific to your organization's LMS.
If you can replicate the behavior in SCORM Cloud, please share a copy of your project file here or privately by opening a support case so we can examine what's happening. We'll delete it when we're done testing!
