Rise 360 "Redux" error in Moodle/Firefox

I am experiencing an error while passing through my Rise 360 courses in Firefox on a Moodle LMS. This occurs on a Moodle LMS (versions 3.9.25 and 4.4.2 tested on our dev servers). The error does NOT occur while using the same Rise package in our SCORM cloud (1.2) test environment.

While progressing through the course, the whole page will go blank at a seemingly random point in time and just show a white screen. The console logs the following errors in order:

  • Minified Redux error #3
  • Minified Redux error #3 (again)
  • Minified Redux error #6
  • Minified Redux error #9
  • Minified Redux error #6 (again)

these errors point to this page: https://redux.js.org/Errors?code=3

The source is .../mod_scorm/content/1/scormcontent/lib/rise/[generated #].js

But we don't really know what is causing this series of errors, seemingly related to saving the progress state. Only happens in Firefox (latest version) with a Rise SCORM 1.2 package exported this week.

I can provide further info as needed, if anyone has seen an issue like this.

Thank you!

Nick

  • I have an update on this issue...

The course as it exists has no quiz and is tracking completion instead of a quiz score. Reporting is set to "Complete/Incomplete"

If I add a quiz at the end and track using the quiz result, it works and the error does not occur.

If anyone can provide further info on this it would be very helpful! We did not design this particular training to require a quiz but it seems like that might be the only way to get the package working in Moodle for now.

    Thanks,

    Nick

We experience the same problem - does not help a lot, sorry - as you we find the workaround with a quiz is a bit annoying (but functional) Btw this does not occur in Firefox on Mac but on Windows - various versions incl. the latest
