Rise folders and moving content
Hi All,
I am the QA for our team content, so I get many Rise pages shared with me which by default are displayed in my 'Shared with me' folder. When the QA is complete, I want to file the pages. Clicking on 'Move to folder' and selecting the required folder, does not result in the expected action of moving the file, only creates a copy or view of it elsewhere. My 'Shared with me' folder is full to bursting and a headache to navigate. Is there a reason that the file doesn't actually remove itself, as the action would suggest? Thanks!
Hi everyone!
We are excited to share that we have released Rise 360 Team Folders! You can now create shared team folders in Rise 360 to organize your content and share content with collaborators even faster. We know this has been a popular feature request and we can't wait for you to finally check it out!
Your Rise 360 dashboard will look a little different but don't worry. You can find all of your content, personal and shared, in the My View section. If you run into any snags or have additional questions about Rise 360 Team Folders, our team is available in this discussion or in a support case.

I totally get that 'All Courses' should be all the courses, and 'Shared with me' should include all the files shared with me.
But I really, really want to be able to add shared files also to folders, so I am not left hunting through the huge shared folder every time I look for a course.
Changing 'Move to' to 'Add to' on the Shared and All pages would also be good.

I am having the same issues as Rob posted above. Our course catalog is becoming large and individual users are not able to organize the courses that have been shared with them. It's important to organize the content into folders so we're not having to search through all the courses each time we look for one. The person who creates the courses is able to organize them on her end, but since we only have shared access, we cannot organize them under our account. This thread states that this has been on Articulate's Feature Request list for over a year, yet nothing has happened yet and there is no timeline to do so. As a user, this is extremely frustrating.

A small change would be to add the ability to set a favourite folder, which would be the default upon opening Rise.

Agree with need above to be able to move courses that you're only a collaborator on. My course list is beyond overwhelming because I can't organize my collaborator courses into folders. That seems like table stakes functionality.

I add my voice to this request.
A headache.
Thanks.

Hi folks, I'd like to vote this as well, maybe something along the lines of Sub-Folders to help organise 100 rise courses into sections/modules.

Just starting to use Rise, and we're 1 course in but we can already see issues with folder organization. We actually use Jira to manage what we're working on, but it sure would be nice to be able to courses in different ways depending on our needs. For example, we might want to see:
- Which courses are published vs which are being worked on?
- Which ones are about topic A and which are about topic B?
- How do I know which topic A courses are published?
Seems like tags would be great to help manage workflow and/or different ways of viewing courses.
Also, kinda related, the collab issue. We work as a team, so why can't I move a course I don't own to another folder. Why can't a team own a course? Why is there just one owner? Why is there ownership at all? Ownership doesn't make sense for a solo creator or for a team of creators who collaborate. It only works for a team who doesn't collaborate, right? What kind of team is that?
Update: Looks like Team Folders and Shared Publishing are "In development". I look forward to seeing what that looks like.
https://articulate.com/support/article/Articulate-360-Feature-Roadmap#review-360 Hi Holly,
While we don't have plans to change the functionality of Rise 360 folders in the near future, we're still looking at ways we can improve dashboard folder organization. Thanks for letting us know this feature is important to you!
Thanks for letting us know this feature is important to you, Sandy! While it isn't on our roadmap right now, we'll send you an update if that changes in the future.

Thanks for responding. I’m very disappointed that this isn’t on your roadmap. We recently built an initial library of 10 courses. With localization, I now have 60 lessons showing up in the All Courses folder. And with more lessons on the horizon, this is quickly becoming unmanageable.

Hi Alyssa,
We really like Rise for our content, but now we have started moving courses to it we have identified so many shortcomings in the management that we may need to look for another product that handles that side of things properly.
I posted a list of obvious issues we have found yesterday here:
