Rise: Problems publishing localised courses
Hello,
I’m reaching out for help because I’ve run out of ideas on how to solve this issue myself.
We translated a Rise course into four languages, and for the past three days I haven’t been able to export the localized SCORM packages. What’s interesting is that I can export the English version of the same course, and I can also export localized versions of other courses. However, with this particular course, I simply can’t get the export to work.
I should also mention that a colleague successfully exported everything from this course about a week ago without any issues and without using any special settings.
I’ve already tried clearing cookies, exporting from a different account, opening the course in another browser, creating copies of the course, and similar troubleshooting steps.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this problem?
Many thanks in advance 🫶
P.S. I have problems publishing any of the items of localised versions: LMS, Web, PDF, Quick share :-(

Have any edits been made to the course after localisation?

Yes and no :)
We have 3 parts of the same training and we had some feedback (small changes) for 2 out of 3 parts. I can't publish any of them. It's the first time we have this kind of issues.

Luck One quick tip, never edit a course after localising. Make course duplicates to localise. There's a couple of giveaways in your post. You say you can export the English version, and the reason for this is that it uses the original metadata. The way Rise localises is to create language specific metadata layers on top of the base course. This is why I asked if any edits had been made as this can corrupt the metadata (usually an in course quiz or scenario block as the logic based blocks code slightly differently and can easily break references). The reason your colleague's export a week ago succeeded is likely because the corruption hadn't been introduced yet; most likely by a subsequent edit (but could be other causes).
Hi Luck,
Sorry to hear that you've been struggling to publish localized Rise 360 courses.
Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps you've already applied. I'd like to connect you with our support engineers so they can work with you directly on this issue. I've opened a support case on your behalf and sent you an email with steps on how to share your affected Rise course privately.
We can continue the conversation through your case!
