Sample SCORM multilanguage file from locatisation feature?
Hi FelixFranke,
Great to see that Silverfire has been helping you.
I'm happy to provide a sample Rise course that's been localized into three different languages:
- Italian
- Spanish (Mexico)
- Swedish
The attached SCORM package was published to SCORM 2004, 3rd edition. Also, it's been set to track using course completion, with a reporting option set to passed/incomplete.
Let me know how the testing goes!
Hi Silverfire,
thank you for your response.
Yes, I have tested it there. SCORM Cloud shows the same behaviour as our LMS. If you choose a language and go into the content, all is fine and as it should be. But if users click on the "continue" button in the LMS before choosing a language, the LMS shows the course as "completed" (NOT "passed") and they can go on to the next SCORM. The next SCORM is only available if the current SCORM has been completed.
The thing is, there are no actual errors in the SCORMs, the manifest is fine, so is the rest of the structure. The problem seems to be the "SCORM in a SCORM" setup (like the Russian Matrjoschka dolls), there is a SCORM logic for the language choice and one for the actual course in a folder further down the folder structure.
This topic has been keeping me busy for over a week now because we have one course live which shows this behaviour. It is very strange.
That is why I would like to test a multilanguage course from another source (the courses in question were not created with Articulate360). And also before investigating the localisation feature (which I LOVE by the way!) any further. The resulting courses should be compatible with our LMS...

thank you so much, I will try and test it as soon as possible (might take till next week, this week I have a lot of in-person training).
I will report if it worked with our LMS.

StevenBenassi I ust tried your file and it worked very nicely. The problem we had with the other multilanguage courses (LMS marking the courses as complete as soon as the language choice page was displayed) did not happen.
Thank you very much for providing the file, it was very good seeing that the localization in Rise seems to create courses which do comply with our LMS.
