Scenarios in Rise

I'm building an onboarding module for new instructional designers in Rise.  I thought I would give a try in using the Scenarios functionality.  I'm encountering an issue with the background in Scene 2 not changing.  It stays as the Scene 1 background.  I did view the training on this and noted the trainer did delete the default Scene and start with her own.  I didn't see this training video until after I'd built my two scenes.  But it doesn't seem like the software would not allow for the integration of a different background from Scene to Scene.  I can't figure out what I did wrong.   I'm attempting to learn all the various features in Rise and Scenarios seems to one I'll need to invest a bit more time in to fully understand how things work.  I appreciate any advisement offered to help resolve this issue.  Thank you!
