SCORM not running when i switch to a new tab

When packaging a SCORM course, I noticed that when the course is running in a browser, such as Chrome, and I switch to a new tab, the course automatically pauses. This behavior interrupts the flow of the course, and I'm looking for a way to allow the course to continue running even when I switch to a new tab.

    When you say pause, is it pausing audio/video playback or just in general? If it is media that is pausing, I think this will be the browser making this decision and not the module. I know that when switching tabs in Chrome, media is paused in the tab that does not currently have focus.
