Screen readers "Graphic Clicakable"
NVDA reads every accessible image in my project as "graphic clickable" followed by the alt-text. Is this expected behavior even for images that are not clickable?

This is the default behavior in NVDA when there is only one image on a slide. Here is a link to the issue. When there is only one image on a slide, does this occur for you?
If not, can you share your .story file publicly here or privately in a case? We will delete it from our systems when troubleshooting is complete.
