Screen record timing issue
Hello,
I am currently at a loss and looking for help/advice.
I am using storyline 360 and have recorded a video slide by slide with the intent of listing the instruction using a caption and then zoom in on the area that needs to be clicked to progress to the next step.
The issue I am facing is that the screen recording starts instantly regardless of how I time the slide, this then completely puts the Click animation out of sync. The area of the screen that needs to be clicked has already moved on.
I have recorded several videos and they all act in the exact same way. Colleagues who are also using Articulate have been unable to replicate this timing issue even when we have the exact same settings and recorded a screen in an identical way.
Is there a setting or option that I have overlooked, could it be the way I have recorded the screen, is there a way to delay the start of the slides screen recorded segment?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just to clarify as I have noticed I missed it out on the first post, the timings work fine when previewing the slides on Articulate, the timings change when the project is published to an MP4.
Hi DG-BHT,
I'm happy to help!
You mentioned your colleagues aren't able to replicate the issue. Did they test your specific file? Are they publishing for video or choosing a different option? First, I'd confirm that you're working on and saving your project on your local hard drive and that you're using the most updated version of Storyline 360. We're currently on Build 3.97.34031.0.
If the issue persists, I would try importing your slides into a new Storyline project and republishing the course. You can also share your .Story file here or privately in a support case so we can take a closer look!

Hi Kelly,
Thanks for the reply. The process we are currently following is to create the story file, then publishing for video.
I have tried saving both the onedrive and my local hard drive, this did not make a difference. I believe I am currently using the most updated version.
I sent the story file to a colleague, no amendments were made and when they published the project into a video the timing was correct, using the same file with no amendments made, when I published the file I still have the same issue.Still unsure as to what is causing the issue when I publish.
Hello DG-BHT,
I'm happy to chime in! I appreciate you sharing how you are publishing the Storyline course.
You're on the right track working on your local hard drive. You can save the file to OneDrive, but make sure to copy and open the project from your local drive when working on it.
Since the issue is not happening in your colleagues' workstations, there may be a problem with your Storyline installation. Try running these steps to fix possible installation issues.
If the problem persists, you can connect with us privately in a support case for more targeted help.
