Screen recording displays image inside of an image
I am working with a particular story size in Storyline, 1956 width and 1100 height. When I open a new file and set this particular size and screen record my screen recording displays an image inside of an image, see the attached image. I have done this exact same action on my colleagues Storyline and the recording looks fine but when I do it on my Storyline the screen recording displays the image twice. I have updated my Storyline, uninstalled it and it still occurs. How do I fix this?

I just starting having the same problem with screen recordings (echo of image within image).
But, when I got here and was so happy to find the Exact Same Problem...
There is no record of the solution. Ahh, such sadness.
Hi George!
Sorry, you're running into this issue! I'd recommend connecting with a Support Engineer so that we can work with you to find a fix. It would be helpful if you can also attach either a .story file or a screen recording of the issue to see the snag in action.

The recorder (seems to) display a mini version inside a larger version when it is done recording.
Hello George!
I see that you are working with my teammate, Christopher, in a support case. We'll continue working in your support case so that we have all the information in one spot. I'll be following along to see what the fix is!

Thanks.
(It's almost like reading/watching a mystery story...)
The more I look at it, the more I'm thinking that
(1) The background image seems to be generated correctly.
(2) The foreground movie is the one that is reducing the output. So, when I change the screen resolution to 100% (96 DPI), I actually don't solve the problem (I just make the background have the same problem as the foreground).

Hey,
My colleague has the same problem. I solved it with an update but it occurs again.
Do you have solution to this problem?

Thanks for reaching out, Israel! I'm sorry to hear this issue has returned.
I created a support case on your behalf so you can work directly with a support engineer, but I'd like to gather more clues about your setup:
- Are you using more than one monitor when recording? If so, can you confirm that you've set the display settings to 100% and that you're using the same screen resolution?
I'll add your response to the support case, and we'll go from there!

It's for my colleague, and she is using one monitor, yes.

I am having the same issue. This thread is from a year ago I am surprised no one has posted the resolution. So people do not have to wait for support to contact them.
Hi Rebecca,
Sorry to hear that you experienced the same behavior. We recommend reaching out to our support team so we can find you a solution that best addresses your issue. Not all environments and solutions are the same, so its best to have us take a look at your environment to figure out what's happening.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
