Shape disappearing for no reason

I've looked through the discussions and couldn't find anything that addresses this, at least not recently. I have a pretty complex slides with a lot of little shapes and animations, and when I preview the course, one of my shapes disappears at the end of the timeline for no reason. The shape is part of two groups that have associated motion paths. There are no exit animations and the shape itself is set to "Show Until End". I am authoring the course in the 64-bit Storyline but when I open the course in the regular Storyline, I'm seeing the same behavior. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Am I doing something wrong?

Stephen, I'm assuming you're referring to one of the objects in the "Tag-transactions" group. That group and some objects within it were not set to "Show until end." However, there's something not quite right (possibly corrupt) in your file, because although setting these objects and the group to "Show until end" fixed the problem, the Tag-transactions group does not show the > symbol at the end of its group timeline even after setting it to show until end (but right-clicking it does show it is set to show until end).

  • Thank you, Steve! I'm thinking the project may be corrupted, as you suggested. When I saved the project and uploaded it here, all of the oval shapes in the "Tag-transactions" group DID show the "show until end" arrow, which is why I was so sure that wasn't the problem.

I also had another issue where the start points for a couple of my motion paths moved themselves somehow so I've deleted and re-created a lot of these slide elements already. Maybe I'm doing too much?

In any case, I appreciate the response and the time you spent looking into this for me!
