Single Lesson Course to bypass entry page

We want to publish a single lesson "course" which doesn't require any entry page, it should just go straight into the detail lesson detail. Is this possible? Is it also possible for a quiz?

    Hi Jeremy,

It's not possible in Rise to go directly to a Lesson or a Quiz.

The starting point currently for a Rise course is the course introduction page.

  • Hi Jeremy!

Do you need to host the course on a learning management system (LMS), or do you have the option to host it on a web server?

If you can host it on a web server, then you can copy the direct URL to any lesson or quiz, since the URL is unique for each lesson and quiz in the course. However, there isn't a way to do this in an LMS.

  • Hi Alyssa.

Yes we'll host it on our servers, so I think we can manage it through the lesson URL, as long as it still communicates fully through the Scorm API?

    Thanks!

  • Thanks, Jeremy! If you need to track data, then it sounds like you may need to export for LMS. I'm not sure that will allow you to capture unique lesson links, but it's worth a shot! Give it a try, and let us know what you find out!

  • It does work, but the other thread I linked to suggests this is a popular request so could it be considered as an enhancement request to be able to auto-start at a given lesson without the welcome page? How do I escalate or vote for this?

We do have a feature request to remove the start page, and just by posting here, you're counted! We've tagged this discussion to be updated if we make a change that will help.

  • We're excited to share a new way to deliver bite-sized training focused on a single objective... Microlearning!

Microlearning gets your learners into the content faster without a course outline or description, or full course navigation features. You can get started from our new microlearning templates, use any of our business lesson content, or create one from scratch.

Let us know what you think!

  • Hi folks!

Good news! We've just released a new feature that allows you to turn off the cover page when you publish for LMS to improve compatibility, streamline training, and get learners into content faster. Give it a try, and let us know if you have any questions about it!

Note: You can't hide the cover page for training created from Next Big Idea Club content templates.
