Skipped Lessons
The user progresses normally through the course with each lesson getting ticked off with a check. After logging back in after a week, the progress seems to have been reset except:
(a) The course overview is still reflects previous progress made; for example, "50% complete"
(b) The table of contents (screenshot) still shows check mark where the user left off BUT they are forced to start over
Hi CharlieX!
Happy to jump in here!
Do you mind sharing how your learners were viewing the Rise 360 content when they encountered this behavior? If it was through an LMS, a helpful first step is checking to see if the course exceeds the suspended data limit for your learning standard. Also, can the same issue be observed across all supported browsers, or is it local to one?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thank you, StevenBenassi . Let me confirm but as far as I know, all our courses are on Rise. The Rise courses have embedded Story files but I doubt any errors on those files would affect the table of contents, but please correct me if I am wrong here.
I'm not sure if this is isolated to a single browser because our users usually use their own devices and they all have preferences. So far, I've only encountered this from a handful of users, most using Chrome and Edge (which is techically still Chrome underneath the hood), with no adblockers and the like installed,, and were previously resolved by clearing their cache.

Hello again StevenBenassi . Is there any reason why the Rise course's table of contents reset then forces users to repeat the previously completed sections? This happens on Chrome and Safari so it is not isolated to a browser.
On one course only. So far.

Hello Charlie,
I'm happy to chime in. What you described regarding the table of contents is not expected. Since the behavior only affected some users and was previously resolved by clearing the cache, we can continue troubleshooting by having the affected users try the steps below.
- Use Incognito mode to rule out possible browser extensions that may be causing the problem.
- Ensure that their browser has the latest updates and JavaScript is enabled.
If the issue persists, connect with us in a support case so we can dig deeper into this with you. Our support engineers might request a copy of the Rise course and browser logs.
