SL auto-generating auto slide advance triggers when updating review question feedback
Hello all,
We've been using our current SL template for about 2 years with no review question feedback issues. However, ever since the Accessibility feedback update in April 2023, we have had a funky issue start occurring:
Every time we go to any of our review questions > form view > and update the correct or incorrect feedback, SL automatically adds "jump to next slide when timeline ends on this layer" to the correct/incorrect layers. I have checked the slide master/feedback master/project variables/triggers/ layer & slide settings/ etc about 20 times and can't see why this is happening.
To help identify the problem, I went into some of our SL courses from 2022 (that never had this issue), updated the feedback on the form view, and now those SL files are having the same issue as well. So I'm pretty sure it isn't anything in our template as those files haven't been touched since 2022 and were working fine then.
The only workaround I've found is to change the text on the correct/incorrect layers in the slide view (and avoid the form view altogether).
I'm attaching a sample of our review questions below. Can someone please help me figure out what exactly is going on and how to stop this issue from occurring?
Thanks
Seth

your problem is much older - with Storyline 3.64 (May 24, 2022) it also already happens

now the test with Storyline 3.60* (January 18, 2022) -> same problem

you should submit a support case
* I have remove the feature "Question Result Variable" from the .story file

Will do.
Hi Seth,
Thanks for reporting this issue regarding Storyline auto-generating triggers! I see that my colleague, Matthew, has picked up the support case. You're in good hands working one-on-one with him. Please expect an email from Matthew shortly!

Any fix for this? We are having the same issue and more with our question layers!
Hi Kelly!
Sorry to hear you've also run into trouble with Feedback Layers!
With your permission, I'd like to take a closer look at your project file to get a better understanding of your setup. Would you be willing to share your .story file and a screenshot of the behavior you are encountering? Feel free to upload it to this discussion or privately in a support case!
We'll delete it from our system as soon as we're finished!
