I would love to help you with your issue, but I have a follow-up question for you. What is the end result you would like with this slider? Do you want the text to fade in and stay on the screen until the user moves the slider?

Thank you John! Yes, I am just wanting the text to stay on screen and fade out when the user moves the slider to the opposite end. If they move the slider back toward each end, the corresponding text will fade in again. (different text on each end)
