Follow up reminder and additional information:
Following changes to our text-to-speech partner ElevenLabs’ voice offerings, some AI voices will be going away April 30th, 2026.
What this means:
- The audio you’ve generated with these voices, including audio translated in localized courses, will remain in your courses
- After April, you won’t be able to regenerate or create new audio with the impacted voices
- After April, if localized audio using the impacted voices is regenerated for new translations, the impacted voices will automatically revert to a similar voice.
What to do next:
- Review the AI voices that will be retired and ElevenLabs’ recommended replacements: View the impacted voices and how to update them.
- Note: Storyline users can use a new voice swapping feature to quickly find everywhere a voice is used in their course, making it much easier to replace. Similar functionality is coming soon to Rise.
- Stop using the soon-to-be-deprecated voices in your trainings. While existing audio will continue to play, you won’t be able to regenerate or create new audio with these voices after April.
