Storyline 360 - Best Practice for Dialog Layer Tab/ Focus Order

Please see the attached image of the dialog layer.

What would be the best practice for the focus/ tab order of a dialog layer?

My preference would be to have the learner review the content and then access back, next, close.

  1. Heading 1
  2. Back Arrow
  3. Next Arrow
  4. X to go back to Base Layer
  5. Image of ID
  6. ID Write-Up
  7. ID Audio Icon
    When selected, reads write-up (optional).
  8. Image of Content Expert
  9. Content Expert Write-Up
  10. Content Expert Audio Icon
    When selected, reads write-up (optional).

  • Hi Lisa,

I understand you're waiting to hear about everyone's best practices. You can check out this article for tips on designing an accessible course in Storyline 360, which includes how to approach building the focus order while waiting for someone to share their experiences.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks. However, I read that article before. I am specifically looking for the dialog layer.

  • Back and Next and close should be at the end, nav should always be last

Not sure it needs the image of the ID in the focus order

  • I font think there is anything different i would do for a dialogue layer apart from it will take focus immediatly when it loads
