Storyline 360 - Feedback Master Error After Updating
Every quiz question has been hit - looking at 72 slides as it's been translated into 8 languages via branching!
I've used the feedback master to create a blank feedback master slide that I then edited in design and duplicated each time I wanted to create a new question (probably not the best instructional design practice, but I struggle get a layout I like using the feedback master). Although the feedback master slide is still blank in the feedback master view, something strange has happened to the formatting on the slide in design after the update.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the detail, Amy — 72 slides across 8 languages, that reframes it. The good news: if every question is hit the same way, it's almost certainly the master, not 72 individual corruptions, so one fix should propagate.
Fastest path: View tab → Feedback Master, confirm your blank layout is still there. Then multi-select the affected question slides in the left-hand pane (click, Shift-click), right-click → Apply Layout → pick your blank feedback layout. Bulk re-apply, no slide-by-slide edits.
One honest caveat before you do all 72: re-applying a layout can reset per-slide overrides — and the design edits you made on each slide are exactly what's at risk. Duplicate the file first so you have a rollback copy, then test on 2–3 slides (including a translated one) before running through everything.
And for next time: put your design tweaks on the feedback master layout itself rather than editing the blank layout in design view each time, then duplicate fresh questions from it. The design lives in one place, survives updates, and your 8 language branches stay consistent. Hope that gets you back on track.
