Storyline 360 Crashing AI Generated Text-to-Speech Inserted
I am working on a hefty Storyline project where I initially used non-AI generated voices and now have access to the AI Audio voice library. I am attempting to swap out the old Voiceovers and move forward with new Voiceovers and running into Storyline 360 crashing.
Every time I press the "Insert Voiceover" from the Generate AI Audio pop-up, Storyline 360 instantly closes and doesn't save any of the work (unless I already saved prior to opening up the AI Audio). I am worried the file itself is corrupted.
Additional Information
- I have already followed the steps highlighted in this article from another post regarding a similar problem and it has not solved the issue
- We upgraded to AI capabilities in the middle of this project
- I am saving the file locally and not on a network
- I am using the most recent release of Storyline 360
Thank you for any advice or insight on how to resolve this issue.

The text to speech feature is buggy, I have to re-add the voice over every time I close and re-open the Storyline file. Consistently have the corrupt assets pop up appear that highlights every voice to text. The captions also disappear when something in the slide is changed, and can't be managed or readded (need to generate the audio again). The text-to-speech feature needs fixing.

Many thanks to Luciana for reaching out. I appreciate the responsiveness of the Articulate support team.
Following up- I potentially created a graphic intensive slide (multiple characters interactions) which made it buggy
- Submitted my course for Articulate to review 👍
Sort-Term Solution
- Stripped down my course to be less graphically intensive and AI text-to-speech worked no problem. Recommend creating separate file to do this on the off-chance returning to the original file is possible in the future
