Storyline: 360 degree images not displayed

Hi all,

I've got an storyline-project from mid 2025, which contains five slides with different 360-degree-Images. It was published last year via SCORM to a LMS and everything worked fine.

Currently I wanted to create a reviewlink of the course (without any changes), but now 2 of the five 360-degree-images are not displayed in the reviewlink, only a white page is shown. The same appears with a new SCORM-Export in the LMS. (The old export still works).  

In Storyline the images look fine, the preview also works. I tried to reload the images in Storyline, but this did not change much. Strange enough, sometimes the images are shown in the export, in maybe 1 of 5 attempts.

Has anyone an idea how to solve this?

    Very curious, especially the inconsistency! Are you able to share a .story file for troubleshooting and reproduction?

    While probably not likely, I wonder if the browser's console throws any related errors?

    I'm afraid it's not possible to share a .story-file, because it contains customer-specific informations. The browser-console (MS Edge) shows the following:

    The problem also consists in other browsers like firefox.

    I had the same thing happen to one of my files. I opened a case with Articulate and they found if I remove the transitions on all of the slides in that scene, it worked correctly again. I'm annoyed that it appears to "jump" from image to image without the transitions, but at least it loads.

    Sorry to hear that 360-degree images from Storyline are not loading as expected during playback.

    Does this behavior mostly occur when navigating through Slides using the Menu? I ask because we are tracking a Storyline bug that prevents 360-degree image slides from loading if navigating via the sidebar Menu. We are seeing this issue across multiple browsers, including Firefox.

    If not, then it would be helpful to see a copy of the .story file so we could troubleshoot further. I completely understand that privacy is a concern. Anything you share with our team in a support case is kept confidential, and we regularly remove user files from our systems. Also, we're happy to sign an NDA upon request.

    I had this exact scenario happen to me. I went to publish a reviewlink for some 360 image projects that were from October-2025 and this behavior and errors you described from the console all were noted. I spent a significant amount of time conversing with Articulate support and they have recorded it as a bug.

    While I have found that completely rebuilding the project from scratch has mitigated the issue in a case where it was critical the new version was published ASAP, this of course is not ideal. And I have been able to work with many of my stakeholders to pause updates on 360-image projects for the moment.
