StoryLine Menu behaviour

Question

My project has several scenes. When I launch the project I can individually select slides from scene 1 until the last slide in the scene is selected and then the total menu disappears. If I relaunch and select slides from a different scene, on selecting the last slide, the menu remains open as I would expect. Problem only seems to occur with scene 1.
I think I have seen this raised previously but I cannot find the answer now so apologies if I am covering old ground!

"Unexpected behaviour" can also be called "performance anomaly" :-)
