Storyline: Multi-line hyperlink highlight displays incorrectly

I have a multi-line hyperlink and the hover highlight displays a block covering non-hyperlinked text.  This only occurs when the hyperlink includes the first character of a line.  If there is a clear text word to start, it display as expected:

I have several work arounds (adding a word to that start, reworking to have the hyperlink on one line, or worse case, building my own hover/visited states on a standalone text object).  Just wondering if this is a bug or if there is a fix I'm missing.  Storyline 3 build 18
