Storyline with cc and transcripts was a great addition for accessibility. Are there any plans to allow the learner to download the transcript. This would be particularly helpful for those with any kind of a reading disability. Thanks

A transcript download feature isn't in the works right now, but if you have your transcripts in the Notes section of your course, you can publish the project to Word and all of the contents of the notes section will be included in the published output.
Thank you for the reply and I understand we could do that -- my concern was for accessibility particularly for learners with a learning disability or those learners who use screen readers. I would like to suggest you add this functionality for the reasons stated above.

Can you help me understand if you are looking to download the video transcript to share with learners, or are you thinking of a way to create a transcript document that your learners could download right from the course?
This would be for learners to download directly from the player - one step. One of the goals for accessibility is to make it as easy as possible for learners using different devices (particularly for those who may only use a keyboard or ease of use for learners who use equipment where they cannot use a keyboard). Ease of use is the thing I was looking at - I could always create a transcript from the CC but - the goal would be making the content more accessible for those learners with disabilities.

Why can't you add an icon where the learner can download an accessible pdf. Add a lot of work I know. But this could be a temporary solution?
Of course one could do this but this is about comfort and ease of use for the learner. Adding a button or icon isn't a best practice for those who use devices such as screen readers, eye gazers et. al.
The idea is to make the end user with disabilities comfortable and the access easier. I would think a downloadable transcript would be a natural function for the player since the edition of the transcript within the player.
Interactive transcripts are searchable and with the ability to find specific points in a video
They are essential for those who are deaf, or have difficulty seeing (or interpreting) visual information or those with multiple disabilities like deaf-blindness. However, I hope Articulate might consider getting rid of the time stamp (on the transcript) but keep the highlighting as the timestamp is distracting particularly for those who use a screen reader.

Timestamps can be personalized by learners. To hide timestamps, the learner can click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) in the upper-right corner of the transcript window and uncheck the box.
