TAB order not working
My latest course is behaving funny. I have text boxes on the screen however no matter what I do, I cannot get the tab to go the boxes. I have ensured that the Accessible check box is selected but yet using the tab key only goes to the buttons on the page. I have tried deleting the text boxes and retyping and still the same thing. Never had an issue with this in the past.

I still have a problem with Webobjects.
I manually set them in Focus Order window as for example 3nd, right after title and some text. I'm using down key in NVDA to read through the screen and the order is as following:
1. Title
2. Some text #1
3. Here should be webobject with, I guess, its whole content. But instead, we jump straight to 4.
4. Some text #2
5. Some button #1
6. Here should be nothing, but instead, webobject is read. It reads like this "Frame, all the contents, end of frame".You can export attached story and check for yourself.
Can this be fixed soon? It breaks my whole course flow.
I really appreciate you taking the time to list out these details and include a project file! I am also seeing the same behavior so I updated the bug report for our team and added your project file. I'll keep you updated in this discussion!

I have the same problem with web objects not following the set focus order.
Was there a solution to the questions above. My web object is reading at the bottom of the page, even though it is set higher in the focus order. - MariaCSStaff
Hi, Jennifer.
I replied to a similar question here, and we can continue the conversation there!

I have the same issue as the OP. I am using the latest version of Storyline as per February 2023.
Essentially, I want to drag and drop 'something' to another 'something' on my slide.
My drop areas are text boxes and show up just fine when tabbing.
As for my drag items, I first used text boxes, I added another text box to its normal state, I changed for a button, I changed for an image. Nothing, I use here is selectable by tabbing despite it being in my focus order and has alt-text.
If I remove the connection between my drag and drop items in the form view, everything becomes selectable when tabbing again.
Seems like the notoriously 'bad-for-accessibility' drag and drop question slides could be getting that rep because some basic functionality is broken?
Please help!

Thanks Luciana,
Please see attached file.
When testing, you can tab through (as an accessibile user might) all the content, press spacebar on your chosen drag item, tab to your chosen drop item, press spacebar again and the drag item moves to the drop location as it would if you were using your mouse. This example works well if just recapping knowledge and giving instant feedback via a slide layer.
What I'm trying to do is convert this to a freeform question slide (no instant feedback, results are presented at the end of a 10 question quiz on the result slide).
I convert to freeform, select the drag and drop option, set the correct drag and drop answers in the form view and all works well until you try to tab through the content - the drag items simply do not select, making this once accessible slide no longer accessible.
Am I missing something here? Is following the path to convert to freeform in order to report to a results slide the best method here?
Appreciate your help :-)
Lewis.
Hello Lewis,
Thanks for sharing a copy of your project file. I took a look at the slide and saw that you weren't using any of Storyline 360's built in question slides. If you need to send a value of a variable to an LMS from a non-question slide, you can check out this article for some tips on how this can be achieved:
Regarding drag-and-drop interactions, note that accessibility for these interactions are challenging to implement. You can check out the section titled 'Provide Alternatives for Drag-and-Drop Interactions' in the article below for some accessible alternatives that you can consider for your course.

Thanks for all the help provided on this topic by all contributors to this thread.
I have found a solution that works for me and have shared it for you guys to make use of also.
It builds upon the example shared previously, but the slide is now a Freeform Pick One slide.
The learner has to tab or use mouse to drag the correct items to the correct drop targets which then changes a variable to true, when variable is true the radio button is selected to show that it is correct, and the result reports to a results page.
This works for me, feel free send any feedback or indeed build on it to improve.
Thanks
