Template colour alteration
Hi SuzanneCarson-b,
I have had similar issues when fill colors were not displaying properly on shapes. I am not sure as to the underlying reason, but it does appear to be some sort of glitch.
Here is something I would recommend trying that might resolve the issue.
- Open your template file, locate this slide, and right click on the shape that is giving the issue. Ensure when you right click you see the crosshair icon and not the text highlight icon.
- Select Export Shape as Picture...Export Shape as Picture... screenshot example.
- Save the file, then remove the shape from the timeline and insert the exported picture in its place using Insert > Picture > Picture from File...
Now that Storyline is referencing an image instead of a rasterized shape, it doesn't have the ability to inadvertently display incorrectly.
This should be a sufficient workaround and although it doesn't solve a root issue I think from a development perspective it won't matter as much whether it is an image or a shape.
Hope this helps!

Hi SuzanneCarson-b,
I had a lengthy reply typed out, but somehow it went away! In a nutshell, I would recommend exporting the shape as a picture and using the picture instead of the shape, this way Storyline doesn't have the opportunity to display the wrong color.
Hope this helps!
