Template Course Lengths

Hello! My organization is launching its first LMS, and I am planning on importing a bunch of the Real Content, especially the "Next Big Idea Club" courses.  Is there anyway to get an estimated course length for these completed trainings?  Obviously, if we edit the trainings the length will change, but if we just import the content as-is, can we get a default value for estimated course length?

    Great question!

    Articulate tools themselves (Storyline 360, Rise 360) do not automatically generate a "default course length". The duration of a course is typically determined by the number of lessons, interactive elements, and average reading speed of a learner.

    The Real Content courses, including those from the 'Next Big Idea Club', are usually designed as microlearning modules. While we do not publish exact runtimes, these tend to fall within the 15-45 minute range. However, this again, can vary by learner. If you import them as-is into your LMS, you can expect durations to fall approximately within that window.

    I can't speak to the capabilities of your organization's LMS, but some will automatically track average completion times once a learner goes through the content. If your LMS supports this functionality, you may be able to extract these metrics once a pilot group completes the material you've uploaded.
