The "restart course" trigger isn't working correctly
Hi Kate_Golomshtok!
Sorry to hear your Reset Course Trigger isn't functioning as expected! Glad to see LOrealB has been helping you!
I was able to replicate the same issue on my end, in the current version of Storyline 360. I've opened a support case on your behalf so our support engineers can take a closer look into this behavior. You're in excellent hands with them and they should be reaching out to you shortly.
We can continue the conversation through your case to keep all information in one spot.
Hi! Is there an update on this case? I've seen some users say that the Restart Course trigger will reset the menu, while others say it will not. If this trigger is working as designed, how should it behave? Thanks!

Hi Kathy_Hains,
Happy to help!
The fix for the bug discussed in this thread was released in Storyline 360 Update 93. Can you please confirm if you're publishing your courses using the latest version of Storyline 360? If you can replicate the behavior using Storyline 360's most recent version, please share a copy of your project file here or privately by opening a support case so we can investigate. We'll delete it when we're done!

Yes - I have the most recent version. My question really is whether or not the menu is reset as part of the Restart Course trigger. For example, if I'm using a restricted menu, will the menu lock back up so that a user can't just skip to the end of the course?

Hi Kathy_Hains,
I can confirm that the behavior you described is the default behavior of the "restart course" trigger. Activating the trigger will take the learner to the beginning of the course and reset course interactions, but it won't reset the restricted navigation in the Player menu. The attempt will have to be reset or cleared on the LMS level to reset the restricted menu navigation.
