Track using quiz result grayed out
Hello,
I have a course with a final exam. When I try to publish the course, the option for using quiz results is grayed out, please see attachment. What am I doing wrong?
These are a few of my lessons:

Well, that's embarrassing. The final exam was created as a lesson instead of a quiz. "Mystery" solved.
Glad you got it sorted out, Simone! Thanks for coming back around to let us know.

Hi... What was the resolve for this? Mine is greyed out as well and I don't see any answer attached to this article. Thanks in advance.

You need to have at least one Quiz in your course for this option to be enabled.

I have 10 multiple choice questions... Isn't that a quiz? I don't understand. Please elaborate.

It depends where you created the 10 multiple choice questions: in a Lesson or a Quiz.
You can create multiple choice questions within a Lesson mixed in with your course content using Knowledge Check blocks, or you can have a set of multiple choice questions that are in a dedicated Quiz.
Knowledge Check questions in a Lesson cannot be used to track course completion, while a Quiz can be used for this purpose.

So you must create the quiz and not just do knowledge check questions. I understand now. Thank you!

Hi, I created the quiz in Storyline and added it to Rise and that function is still greyed out when exporting to the LMS. Please let me know what I need to do to have that option available and have the quiz questions transfer over to our LMS.

The option Track using Storyline block should now be enabled.
Hey Dustney,
This article will help you: How to Track Course Completion with a Storyline Block
Let us know if you have any more questions about that!

Hi there,
I am experiencing this same issue. My firm doesn't want anything stored off of our servers, so we don't publish anything to Rise, we just publish straight to our LMS. Is there no way to have the course track by question completion without going through Rise?

Hi Chelsea,
If you have a Quiz (that was built in Rise) in your Rise course, and export using SCORM 2004, your LMS should be able to provide data at question level.
Every LMS works differently, so this is a general comment.
