Transition to/from Engage Interaction is strange

We notice that when viewing an Articulate Presenter course that includes an Engage Interaction, the transition to and from the Engage Interaction is weird; for a second, the viewer sees an enlarged display of the Engage Interaction slide. One of my customers described it as 'a weird jump between slides'.  Anybody know why this happens and how to fix it? I don't think it matters which Engage Interaction it is, since it is happening on all of them I've used, including the Checklist, the Accordion, Guided Image, Labeled Graphic, and Conversation.
