Trying to rotate an object 25% on each layer to look like object is rotating

I have a flower with 5 petals on base layer. When the learner clicks on Living Situation,  want the flower to rotate on layer 1 by 25%. (This works)

Then, when the learner clicks on Food Insecurity, I want the flower to rotate again by 25% in layer #2.

I want this type of interaction for all 5 petals. However, as the flower rotates the petal text goes upside down.

  1. Is there an easier way to  rotate the flower for each layer?
  2. How do I avoid the petal text appearing upside down when flower rotates?

    Make the graphic a single picture, instead of a group.  Groups are extremely difficult to work with, especially when combined with movement, clicking, or states.

    See the New slide in the attached sample for one way to get it to work.

    My question is "What pedagogical function does the rotation serve?"  For me as a user, it just makes it much more confusing and  difficult to locate the next object. And if you are going to rotate it, you must force the learner to click the petals only in order.  Anything you can do to, or put on your screen is either an aid to learning, or a distractor from learning. For me, the rotation is the latter.

    See the Better slide for the way I would handle this. It not only is much easier to design and create, it also has the advantage of being learner-centric because it allows the learner to click the petals in their own order. If you have to present the questions in a specific order, put the hotspots on the layers instead of the base. Triggering hotspot for layer #2 on layer 1, etc.
