Typing in Notes box is extremely slow
Hello,
I am creating a course in Storyline 360 and am having a problem typing text into the Notes box. It is extremely slow, so bad that instead I type into a Word file and copy & paste into SL.
I see that there were a number of issues similar to this in earlier threads but they are all 3-8 years old. Are there any new fixes for this issue?

If there is a fix for James's (and everyone else's) issue, can it please be posted here? I am experiencing the exact same problem with lagging when trying to type notes into the Notes section - BUT ONLY on the Modern player. The Classic player works fine. I have the latest version of Storyline 360, as of the date of this comment - v3.83.31444.0. I am working locally off of the hard drive.
Most of the people who are reporting this problem, are reporting exactly what I am experiencing too, so whatever resolution worked for James will most likely work for my issue as well. (Or, if no one's lagging experience has been resolved, then mine will likely remain unresolved too. I just wish these threads included the resolution - or if there wasn't one. But, that's just constructive feedback!)I have attached the file in which I am experiencing lagging (but this happens for all stories using the modern player).
(Sadly, whenever I send these files, I usually find that the problem can't be reproduced on your side. But, when you're finished validating that, please remove the file from this thread, if you don't mind. Thanks!)Hi Michael,
Here's a quick recording of what happens when I try to add notes to the slides in your project file. The section is pretty responsive for me, but I understand that you've already worked with support engineers who were also unable to replicate the behavior. Have you tried repairing your Storyline 360 installation to see if this fixes the issue for you? If repairing doesn't work, please follow these steps to remove all Articulate 360 files and registry keys from your computer, so we can start completely fresh:
1) Close the Articulate 360 desktop app by right-clicking the Articulate icon in your computer's system tray (by the clock) and choosing "Quit."
2) Go to your Control Panel and uninstall all Articulate 360 apps, including the Articulate 360 desktop app, Peek 360, Replay 360, Storyline 360, and Studio 360.
3) Download and extract this zip file on your computer: https://articulate-360-kb.s3.amazonaws.com/360cleanup.zip
4) Right-click the 360cleanup.bat file and choose "Run as administrator." The script should only take a few seconds to remove all the Articulate files and registry keys from your computer.
5) Reboot your computer.
6) Download the latest Articulate 360 desktop app here: https://360.articulate.com/downloads
7) Right-click the articulate-360.exe file and choose "Run as administrator."
8) Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app and click "Install" beside each authoring app you want to install.
9) Reboot your computer and test your Articulate apps.
Let me know if this works!
