Undo option?
I don't know if I missed it, but if there isn't one already, Rise really needs an "undo" option. I just accidentally deleted text from a course I was reviewing and it took forever to find the original text to restore it. A simple undo option would have saved a lot of time.
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Save and restore your work with a click via an easy-to-access version list that captures manual saves and export events.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available. Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

Really annoyed. I have accidentally deleted a section on Rise and 'just' missed the 3 second window to click undo. This thread started a year ago and there is still no fix. It should be a basic feature. I have just lost a lot of work due to a stupid error and would have thought that there would at least be an added safeguard in place to prevent this happening i.e "are you sure you want to delete this section"...I clicked the wrong section, a simple delayed message could have prevented this.

after a year of the issue with an "undo" button being posted has this been added or adjusted to give you more than 3 seconds??? Please advise. I just accidentally deleted key content :(.

Still an issue. Chrome ctrl + Z only works sometimes.

Hi Grit and Grace and Eric,
Thanks for reaching out! I understand why having a solution to revert back to an earlier version of a course would be useful.
Our team is exploring a solution to this issue. We'll make sure we share updates here!
Please reach out if you have other questions - I'd be happy to help!

I was searching for the undo feature which led me to this thread. Undo is a priority for me. Please continue to let the team know about this requested feature.
Thanks.
Hi Michael,
If you delete an entire lesson or a block item, you'll see an Undo button appear in the lower left corner of the screen. If you delete text from a lesson, try using the keyboard command Control + z or Command + z to undo the deletion.
I hope that helps! We'll keep you posted here if we add more functionality to the Undo feature in the future.

I haven't noticed the undo button. Does it only appear immediately after you delete a block or can you find it any time?

Hi Natalie
It only appears briefly in the bottom left hand corner of the screen immediately after deleting a block - I've been caught a couple of times

Is this going to be fixed?? This is a serious problem. It's very easy to
delete the wrong block when you use dividers for design purposes. Rise is a
great program, but I find it fairly inflexible for development purposes. I
hope that future updates will fix this.

Hi Natalie, I just use Articulate 360 like you, but just wanted to mention, you can change the order of images in a carousel/ gallery by click and drag in the editing area. Select the image and hover over the left side until three dots appear, then drag in the order you want. If you were meaning, moving images between different areas of a lesson, that would be an amazing addition!

Thanks! I tried doing something like that with the images, but it didn't
work for me for some reason. I'll try again using your instructions. I
haven't been using Rise for very long, but I'm finding that you often have
to do things just right and to hover over very specific targets to make
things work.I appreciate the help!

I accidentally deleted something and the Cmd + Z doesn't work to put the content back in place. I am using a Macbook and on Chrome Browser. Is there a undo button that I could find somewhere to revert by changes or do I need to recreate them again?
Hi Ananth,
If you delete an entire lesson or a block item, you'll see an Undo button appear in the lower left corner of the screen for a few seconds. Unfortunately, after the button disappears there's no way to get that content back. If you've lost a lot of content, you could try reaching out to our support team to see if they can help you recover it. You can submit a case here.
I hope that helps! We'll keep you posted here if we add more functionality to the Undo feature in the future.

Thanks Allison, the reply is quite helpful to understand how it works. It would be good if the "undo button" period is quite longer (currently its <5 sec I guess). Something like a persistent Undo at least to recall past 3-5 actions would be desirable.
For now, I recreated the section but some enhancement to the undo functionality will be well received widely among users for sure.
Best RegardsAnanth
You're welcome! I'll be sure to pass your feedback onto our development team.
Hi Holly,
Command + Z will undo text edits, but it will not bring back a deleted block.
When you delete a block, you'll see an Undo button at the bottom of the screen for several seconds. If you no longer see that button, you'll want to recreate the block again.
