Upload a SCORM file into Rise?
Hi Heroes
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to upload a third-party SCORM file into a Rise module. We have permission to use it and to host the course in our LMS, I just want to include it in an overarching module alongside several other in-house built modules.
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Save and restore your work with a click via an easy-to-access version list that captures manual saves and export events.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available. Let me know if you have any questions about this update.
Hi Rachel,
I'm not sure I'm understanding what you're trying to do here. Are you wanting to include a link to another course in your Rise course?
Let me know and we'll go from there. :)

I also had this question.
We can use a SCORM course as a module in a Rise course, if it is uploaded to Review 360 from Storyline 360, but is there a way to bring the SCORM file directly into Rise?
Hi Guy,
Can you tell me more about what you're trying to achieve here? If I understand what you goal is, it'll be easier for me to help you find a solution.
Let me know and we'll go from there!

I have a course made in Rise. I would like to add a SCORM course that was developed by a third-party vendor into the Rise course. I know I can add it if I have the Storyline file, then publish to Review, then choose that as interactive media in the Rise course - but how can I do it if I don't have the original SL file?

You could embed it in an iframe using the Multimedia embed block it would have to be available on the web and most likely hosted on HTTPS (or whatever matches your LMS) then construct the frame code to show your "web object"

We are in-between LMSs, so looking to use Rise as a training delivery platform (without tracking) in the interim.
So just link to the story.html file in the SCORM package folder that is hosted somewhere else?

I don't think that the share link is recommended for using as a production server.
You would need to construct the iframe code (something like this)
<iframe src="https://www.elearninglaboratory.com" height="200" width="300"></iframe>
You're right, Phil, we don't recommend distributing your course to learners via the share link.
Guy, here's an article that explains how to find and host your course on a web server.
I hope that helps! :)

Hm okay. I guess I can do that with any SCORM file then.
I think I was over-complicating it in my head. I not sure it answers Rachael's question though...
Thanks Phil and Allison.
I'm not sure either! I'm waiting to hear back from her what she's trying to do. :)

Hey guys,
I exported a course that I made in rise a couple of weeks ago. I have made a few changes and wanted to go back and edit the one I exported. Is there a way to upload a rise course that was exported as a SCORM file back into rise? That way I could revert back to the old one

There is no functionality in Rise to pull in a SCORM ZIP package so that it becomes a Rise course again.
I would recommend making a copy of the edited course in Rise.
Then run the SCORMED course as a learner and compare it to the Rise course to identify what needs to be reverted.

Hello All, I am also exploring the question posed above by Rachel and Guy. I have the Scorm files from a third party and permission to host them in our LMS. However, they are broken into 8 modules and I would like to upload them as Rise blocks so that they can be delivered as one training. What was determined from the conversation above? Did anyone discover a solution?
Thanks
