Video is not playing once uploaded to LMS
Needing help! After my content package from Storyline is uploaded to LMS the video does not play. It does in preview on Storyline but once uploaded to the LMS it is just blank. I even tried adding triggers to automatically play the video with no luck, it still remains blank.

- Is the video embedded into the course or is it an externally-referenced file?
- What is your LMS?
- Have other Storyline courses with videos worked in that environment?
- Have you tried testing your course on SCORM Cloud to see if it works there?

I uploaded the MP4 file to the scene. My LMS is Paycom and yes it usually works with no issues. I have not tried testing the course on SCORM cloud.

Do other videos work, sounds like the mime type on the server is not set

Yeah! Most videos do work and play once uploaded to LMS. I did have an issue before of the video having a corrupted portion and stopping mid-scene but in this case the video doesn't play at all.

check your course with Firefox
if Firefox is ok and Chrome not, it's the (known) incompatibility of storyline mp4 compression for some (???) videos and Chrome > 108
in this case - compress the video in handbrake to the final data rate, reimport it and disable the storyline mp4 recompression (-> compression = 'none')

That rules out the mime type, test on scorm cloud if it doesn't work then could be your LMS.

Hi Jürgen, I'm having the exact same problem - video works well locally and in firefox, while not loading in Chrome. Could you please explain what do you mean by compressing the video to the final data rate in handbrake?
I tried Web Optimize preset, but it didn't seem to work

the special Chrome problem was fixed by the browser itself some months ago
what happend if you publish to Review 360?

I finally realized that the problem was with one of my browser extension called Video Speed Controller. Once I disabled it, everything was working fine.
I hope the Articulate team is aware of this issue and working to fix it.
