Way to copy+paste columns from Focus Order editor
Hi all!
I am looking into options for mass updating some courses to meet higher accessibility standards.
One of the changes I want to make is to add Alt Text to items on the slide and adjust the Focus Order.
I would like to open the Focus Order editor for each slide, copy and paste the columns into Excel, and use some Excel jiggery-pokery to more easily name and organize all elements by the same conventions. I would then copy paste the edits back into Articulate.
However, it seems I can't highlight and copy the columns of the Focus Order editor. Does anyone know of a way to copy and paste these, or is this a hopeless route?
Thanks!!
(Please note - I do know there are AI options for generating Alt Text etc. I am mainly interested in trying this approach to do more batch edits. If I am unaware of an easy batch edit option though, please do tell me!)

Great approach! Unfortunately, it seems the Focus Order editor in Articulate doesn’t support direct copying and pasting, which makes batch editing tricky. However, you might try exporting your course as a .story file (or other export formats, depending on the tool), then using a script or external tool to parse the XML structure to extract and organize focus order information.
Alternatively, while AI can certainly help with Alt Text generation, Articulate also offers some batch editing features through its "Slide Properties" and "Tab Order" options, which may speed things up a bit. If you're looking for a more streamlined process, check if any plug-ins or third-party tools exist that integrate with Articulate for mass updates.
Good luck! Let me know if you need further help!
