When an Articulate user leaves a workplace

Kia ora,

Our L&D Manager left our medium-large organisation. They were not on the shared organisation licence and had not shared their modules. The workplace was not aware this should have been part of offboarding and it would be insensitive to go back to them and ask.

All of their Articulate Courses are uploaded to our LMS which is People Fluent.

My question is, is there away to export the SCORM packages back off the LMS and import them into Articulate so I can then edit them under my licence. Or is it back to the drawing board.

If it is back to the drawing board any work around to make this process as simple as possible. To be fair a number of them did need condensing and updating but I was hoping not to have to re-do them.

  • Hi KH007 it is not possible to import the SCORM output back into the authoring tool (Rise or Storyline).

  • As Sam said, you can't revert a SCORM package back into an editable Rise course or Storyline file.

However, if the LMS folks can export the packages for you, you could retrieve the pictures and other media assets. That should make it easier to reproduce the courses.

Thanks for taking the time to answer even though all hope is lost!

Thanks Judy. I will consider that. Since I'm no longer in an L&D role (now Quality and H&S) I'll probably encourage the SME's to re-do their own content.
