When republishing for an existing course, I can't find the existing course from the drop down

hi, this is weird!

When I make changes and republish the module to "Review", I can't find the old module from the drop down, so I have to publish it as a new item. What that means is I will lose the initial comments left from the initial course.

Any ideas?

thanks
JT

    Thanks for reaching out, JT!

If I understand correctly, you do not see the existing module in the Publish a new version of an existing item dropdown:

Here's my first thought! If you're not the original publisher of this course, that would be why you don't see it in the dropdown. This is because the content is tied to your individual Articulate ID. This rule is most applicable to your Review 360 (and Rise 360) content.

Does this sound like your situation? If so, we are tracking a feature request to have a Teams collaboration account in Review. I'll add this discussion so we can let you know about any changes in that direction!

Let me know if I'm off base here, and we can keep investigating!

  • hi Becca,

Thanks for your reply. I am the creator for this course.

    regards
    JT

This is an interesting one, JT! Let's keep trying to tackle this mystery with these tips:

      • Be sure you're working and saving your work to your local C: drive. Working on a network drive or external device can cause confusion when republishing.
      • If working locally doesn't do the trick, try a quick repair of Storyline as the next step.

If these tips don't help, I'd like one of our support engineers to step in and dig into this deeper! Submit a case here.
