When the Account Owner of your account is... your reseller (!)
Hello, thank you for your reply.
Apparently, this concerns only accounts purchased through resellers.
Not really. According to our reseller, it’s an Articulate “policy” - or, more likely, a huge error in the administration panel of our accounts.
This is something that only appeared this year.
Hey NataliaWajda,
Great to see that Carl has been helping you.
I noticed that you've also connected with my colleague Darrell, through a support case. As he shared:
"We've reviewed our records, and we can confirm that the Account Owner and Primary Admin of your subscription is listed under your account. The email address associated with your reseller is listed separately as the Purchaser.
It is normal for a reseller to be listed as the Purchaser in a reseller relationship. This designation does not give the reseller access to your account's course content or other customer content.
We understand your concern about the reseller appearing in your team list. Since they are the origin of your purchase, we recommend contacting them directly to clarify this.
We hope this clarifies the situation. Please let us know if you have any further questions".
If you have any follow-up questions, feel free to reconnect with Darrell through your case!
Hello Steven,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I wrote to Support, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any reply from your colleague. So, thank your for all the information.
Yes, I also contacted my reseller to clarify this, and they also think it’s not normal at all. 😉
And the reseller is not listed as “Purchaser” or “Reseller” - they are listed as the “Account Owner.”
I just can’t understand why a complete stranger is listed on our team’s panel regardless of the role.
If there is such a mess in the admin panel (and you don’t plan to fix it), it does raise the question of why we should buy the licenses through a reseller in the first place.
I’m disappointed that our needs as clients are not being understood in such an important matter.
Best,
You are still assuming this was a decision that Articulate made. I don't think so. I think the actual buyer (your reseller, the ones who went to Articulate to purchase the license) were of course listed as owner--they paid for the licenses!
It's their role, not Articulate's, to transfer the licenses to you.
