YouTube link copyright
Is it copyright infringement if I link a youtube video in my for-profit RISE eLearning Program?
They're sharing the content on YouTube which implies public access unless they restrict access to the content. And as a content creator they can control if the content can be embedded or not. If you add a link to their content, then you're giving them both credit and directing traffic to their channel.
I'd be careful that the YouTube account as permission to use the content they uploaded. For example, a lot of people upload copyrighted material which isn't permissible.
YouTube has some good info on copyright.

So I can put a link to a youtube or Vimeo video in the course, but need to make sure the person who uploaded the video did not use unauthorized images/ video or audio when creating it. Right?
