Zoom region not visible

Hi.. I would appreciate some help

I have used Zoom regions for the first tine.... they are great! ... I set them up and they are working beautifully (in preview)

However I now cannot see the zoom region on my slide - so cannot change the size, move it etc

I thought I would be able to see the region when I clicked on it in the timeline... but no!

Am I missing something?....

I have attached a copy of one of the slides that use the Zoom region function so you can see what I mean!

Thanks

  • You can't see the Zoom Regions because their visibility has been turned off. (That's what the buttons in the eye-icon column are for.)

If you turn visibility back on, you'll be able to select and adjust the zooms.

    FYI:

    • If you aren't seeing something on the slide that is in the Timeline, chances are the visibility is turned off.
    • If you can't select something on the slide that is in the Timeline, chances are it's locked. (That's what the buttons in the lock-icon column do.)
  • AH Amazing - thanks Judy

I was already aware of the lock icon and how that worked... I also already know about the visibility button, but never use it!!...

I never thought to look at that in this case, as I didn't (on purpose) switch it off!!

    Thanks again

I think most of us have clicked an eye- and/or lock-icon button without realizing it at least once. Welcome to the club. 😀

    Hello,

I am experiencing a similar problem.  I do not see the 'zoom region' option when I click on the' Insert' tab.  It is so weird.  Please, can anyone help me?

    Thanks

      Hi indrani,

      I'm happy to help!

Please maximize the Storyline window to show all features on the top ribbon. Here's a quick demo to show you how the top ribbon differs depending on the window size. This should do the trick, and if you have any questions, please let me know!
