Make Yourself Known
Every journey starts with a spark ⚡️
This is yours!
Step in and share who you are, what you’re drawn toward, and what you’re ready to explore. When someone else shares something that catches your attention, don’t just pass by... respond, connect, and let it build into something more.
From here, things start to expand 💫
Not sure how to start? Here are some examples:

Hi everyone! I'm Kell, and I'm the Senior Community Programs Specialist here at Articulate ✨ I'm the one behind many of the programs you'll see across the ELH community, including Peer Pods and ELH Rewards (though I definitely wasn't the only one working on ELH Rewards). I design and run programs that bring people together, spark new ideas, and create space to grow and try new things. I’m really excited to see how this unfolds: how connections form, how support builds, and what this becomes over time. Outside of this world, I'm usually on the hunt for a really good coffee shop, planning my next trip, or deep in a history spiral. If you ever want to talk about Henry VIII and his six wives, I will absolutely meet you there. |
|
Rachael here, great to meet everyone in this program and I'm sure we'll be best buds in no time. My role here is Community Operations and Strategy Manager but that really just means I do a bit of everything when it comes to community building. |

Hi everyone! I’m Katie, Senior Community Engagement & Content Specialist at Articulate. I help create content that spotlights members and the work you share in ELH - from our weekly newsletter and articles like Made by Members to opportunities like How I Built This. I love supporting and elevating our members’ voices, so if you ever have an idea or want to brainstorm, please feel free to reach out! For ELH Rewards, I’ll also be your Mission Coordinator, sharing monthly missions you can complete to earn bonus points. Outside of this space, I’m a mom to a newborn, still learning to adapt to this new kind of chaos. I’m also a pet mom to a golden retriever and two cats. I love a good theme, so you’ll often find me planning get-togethers like my annual Halloween party. I’m excited to be here cheering you on! |

Hello! I'm Trina, a learning and development leader in Ontario, Canada, with a passion for helping people and organizations grow. I currently lead learning technology and workforce development initiatives in the retirement living sector, focusing on leadership development, eLearning, and creating practical learning experiences that drive results.
I enjoy connecting with professionals who are committed to continuous learning, innovation, and building strong workplace cultures. Outside of work, you'll often find me experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, spending time with family (including our two black and white boys who are total couch potatoes but hear a bag of chips opening from anywhere in the house ha ha),
and friends, or making memories with my amazing niece, who keeps me smiling and reminds me to appreciate life's little moments.
I look forward to connecting, sharing ideas, and learning from others in this community! 😊

Hi Everyone! My name is Kaylene and I'm an eLearning Developer from Harrisburg, PA. I have a background in Instructional Design and secondary education - somehow landed myself teaching adults instead. But, those pedagogy skills are still applicable to andragogy!
One of my main motivators is pushing my work farther each time I create something and figuring out solutions for my crazy ideas. Most of the courses I make are on HR topics and federal/state laws - not always the most exciting topics but I've been able to do some fun and creative things with those topics to keep my learners engaged. My dog regularly makes appearances in my courses - she can be seen snoozing at a park ranger station, committing fraud, protecting FTI like a superdog, and even being an archeologist.
When I'm not staring at my computer all day, I like to to go for a hikes, take care of my bonsai, do countless artistic projects (painting, crochet, building something, redesigning/adjusting mundane things to name a few), play DnD and irritate my fur children (a dog and an orange cat).

Hi everyone! I am Roberta. I live in the Buffalo, NY area. Working as an Instructional Consultant for Pedagogical Development at the University at Buffalo. Instructional Design was to be my retirement job, but I am not yet retired! Circumstances forced me out of teaching.
Nala, a Black Mouth CurI was a teacher for about 26 years teaching graphic design, at both the secondary and college level.
When I am not working I love to travel and spend time with my family. I have a dog and a cat. They are finally becoming friends after 6 years! Both are rescued!

Hey everyone! I'm Ronald — instructional designer on an innovation team by day (video and AI work), and a long-time Storyline builder by night. I make copy-paste JavaScript interactions for Storyline — confetti, progress bars, timers, accessibility fixes — all hand-tested in real projects with setup guides written for people who don't code. Deep in the 508/accessibility world right now.
I'm based in East Texas, Kansas City Chiefs and Texas Longhorns fan, and I volunteer on the media team at my church. Happy to be here and looking forward to learning from all of you!

Hello all,
My name is George and I reside on the sunny Gold Coast Australia.
After a 35 year career as an airline captain, I now focus on instructional design, and leverage SL360 heavily.
I am engaged by an Australian private registered training organisation (RTO).
The Aussie VET sector is unique, being controlled by the Federal Govt. ... Who ever thought that was a good idea?
As such it is bound by red tape.
Various industry peak bodies and high level stakeholders submit information the the Jobs and Skill Councils (JSC).
The JSC then design training packages which contain qualifications and unit of competency.
Those packages are approved by the Dept of Employment and Workplace Relation (DEWR).
3rd parties and RTO's may then develop courses according to the rules laid down in the Training Package Organising Framework.
The RTO's can then deliver these, but is regularly audited by the Aust. Skills Quality Authority, to ensure they meet the Standards for RTO 2026.
Why mention this?
Simply - there is not yet any AI tool that can take a unit of competency (as published) and write a robust course and compliant assessment, for it!
The upside ... I have a job, for a while yet! I'm Veronica. I live in Australia where I work as an independent elearning designer and developer. I learnt everything about my job pretty much here, in the ELH community. I use Storyline as my main tool, and I try to keep up with the ever-evolving technology.
Most of my work is with corporate clients and government departments here in Oz.
I live in regional Victoria with my partner, two kids, two dogs and two chooks.

I had to look up to see what a chook is! lol
Ha! Sorry, here they are:

Hello, everyone!
I'm a freelance technical writer, instructional designer, and eLearning developer. My business name is White Plume Communications—hence the feathered hat in my profile photo.
In 2011, I started working with Articulate Studio. That was followed by Storyline 1, 2, and 3, leading eventually to Articulate 360, including Rise.
To me, a fabulous Articulate "feature" has always been this community. I got to learn from some of the best. Now I do what I can to pay it forward. (You can find links to my webinars, primers, and tips here.)
As for hobbies, I read non-fiction and fiction, put together jigsaw puzzles, and attend the theatre.
Oh, and I also like to embroider. I stitched the attached example years ago. More recently, I've been refashioning artworks (mostly Van Gogh) on neckties.
- NedimCommunity Member
That embroidery is awesome! I’m sure my mom would love it. We’re not too far from the days when handmade crafts will be valued like organic fruit and vegetables. The kind our elders still grow back home in my country.

As a cross-stitcher, I am utterly blown away by that beautiful Miss Piggy piece!! She is my favorite. You have been so active and helpful in this community; I'm checking out your tips link now!

Through multiple moves and downsizing, I've always kept my copy of "Miss Piggy's Guide to Life." 😆

Hi everyone, I'm Karl.
I'm passionate about Instructional Design and effective teaching with technology.
When I started in this field it was called Computer-based Training (CBT). This was long before the Internet, when PC's had only 16 colors and there was no audio or digital video! There were very few people working in this field, so one person had to do everything: project management, ID, media development, programming and course development.
I've worked in very diverse fields including K-12, Oil & Gas, Military sector, Post Secondary, and everything in between. I have been using Articulate products for just more than 8 years, and I'm a frequent poster on the forums.
In my current role I wear several hats: Project Lead, Instructional Designer, LMS Administrator, and mentoring new team members. Although I have been doing this for years, I learn every day, and still enjoy my job!

CBT!
One of my early writing gigs was for educational software. Text only. As I recall, each screen was limited to 26 lines, with up to 52 characters per line.
- KarlMullerCommunity Member
Sounds about right. Mainframe software, text-only tutorials is where I started. Our "storyboard" was a simple grid: one square for each character that could fit on the screen. 😁And we had only two "colors" on the mainframe monitor: regular green and bright/bold green.
