I know this is doable (I've seen it done in youtube videos), but since the blocks changed in the latest RISE update I'm unable to find any block that allows me to enter web video embed code. Am I missing something?
Would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.

Hi there, I know this is an old strand but I'm having the same issue. Trying to embed a YouTube video and I can't see how to do this. I can't see any obvious options on how to do it. Thanks for any help you can give.
We host all of the videos that we have created in-house, on Vimeo and add the URL in Rise.
The reason we do this, is because video files can be huge, and hosting them greatly reduces the size of the SCORM package.
Also when it comes to updating the video, we just need to replace the video on Vimeo, and there is no need to republish and re-upload the course to our LMS.
Hi there, Harry. For a lot of web content, the URL is fine to use in the embed block. If your content isn't displaying as expected, however, try using the iframe embed code for better results.
I am following what everyone says but am still having issues. I copy the link from YouTube and then attempt to insert video into RISE. I cant just drop the link in. It is asking to copy it somewhere from my documents and I dont have it saved anywhere.
Hi Crystal, I have been able to embed videos, but I would like to embed a website or URLs of other Rise components from other courses. I can do it by using the share link, for example, but although I uncheck the metadata, the metadata is displayed anyway. For example, I get the Rise 360 words under the link, if I use the link from another course. Is there any way to remove or hide the metadata all together?
Hi Claudia! Instead of linking to another Rise 360 course, would you want to reuse the content from the other course in your current course? If so, here are some ways you can do that:
Hi once you have embedded a you tube video in Rise 360 is there any way to disable the link on the video which will allow users to click on and go to you tube. Ideally I would like users t watch the video in the course itself and not be able to click on the link to take the to you tube?

Sincere apologies - Found it!
Glad you found what you were looking for, David!
If you get stuck again, don't forget about the Rise 360 User Guide. We've got all kinds of handy tips (like how to embed online videos) in there.
Hope that helps! Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Thanks Anthony.

Hi there, David! You have two options using the multimedia embed block:
Here's a comparison. Let me know if you get stuck!
Hi Crystal, thanks so much for your help with this, really appreciate it. That's helped massively.
I'm a new user to Articulate, so I will doubtless be back in touch with other relatively basic queries.
Best wishes
Well, welcome to the Articulate family! We'll be happy to help where we can.
Hi Crystal,
Saw this thread and figured I'd ask:
What would be the reason for choosing either URL or embed?
Thank you.
Harry

Am I missing a step
Hi Katy,
Create a new EMBED block (MULTIMEDIA/EMBED).
Select EDIT. It will display the URL for the existing video.
On the right of the URL choose Change.
Paste the YouTube URL.

Hi Anne. YouTube has built that link into their embed feature. You can see a discussion in Google support here: https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/102566152/remove-watch-on-youtube-link-from-embedded-videos?hl=en
Is it possible to control the start and end times of an embedded video?
Hi Gil,
You can specify the start and end time for a YouTube video.
The video is about cute puppies:
