I have the same issue as Zanel. I am trying to load a partial XLIFF file to see how my progress is looking. I was able to do it once but after I had more progress in the translations, I keep getting the failure message. Here are the steps I've taken:
- Duplicate course
- Downloaded XLIFF
- Translated XLIFF
- Uploaded translations to Rise. Failure message.
- Downloaded new XLIFF
- Copied translations from the old version to the newer version
Hi Steve! Did you make any edits to the course after you downloaded your XLIFF file? If you made even a slight change, then uploaded back the translated XLIFF file, that could give out an error.
If you didn't, and the course remains the same as when you downloaded your XLIFF file, please open a case with us so that our support engineers can check.

Hello, Zanel!
Did you follow these four steps for translating your course, including duplicating the original course?
If so and you're still having trouble with the XLIFF file, we'd be happy to have a look at it. Please send it our way by clicking here.
Hello, Alyssa!
I forget duplicating step, and sent original XLIFF file to my translator. Is it possible to import it even if it is not a copy?
Thanks
Hi Grégoire,
As long as you import the translated XLIFF file into the course where it was extracted from, you should be good.

Hazel,
Thank you for your fast response. I found my issue and it was not a Rise problem.
Thank you for reaching out.
