I have a MP4 video I'm trying to load to Rise and it just says "processing", but nothing happens. The video size is 219,361KB. Any suggestions? Thanks!
The maximum file size for each video in Rise 360 is 5 GB, and your video is well under that limit. Are you using Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari to author your course?
If you're already using one of those supported browsers and you're still getting stuck, send your video file to us by clicking here. We'll help you get this sorted out!
Hi! I have the similar question. I upload a video (357 MB) to the Rise course, everything goes fine (both uploading and processing), but afterwards the video remains the same default one and doesn't change in Chrome and IE. Attached the prtsc.
Hi there, Mary. Is this still happening for you? I did some testing on my end, but the video file displayed as I expected. We'd love to have a closer look at what's happening when you change the video file.
The "Processing" part of loading videos is S - L - O - W. I thought my files were choking but my 34m file finally finished after 20 min. Same with all my videos so far..... frustrating!
Hello, Debra and Brent. I'm sorry for the slow loading of your videos. We had some performance issues yesterday that we are still monitoring. Details can be found on our status page. We'll keep you updated there!
Hi there, Annie. We're working on improving performance when adding your media to Rise 360 courses. If you're getting slowed down, though, we'd love to help. Feel free to work with us, and we can confirm whether what you're experiencing is expected.
There's no limit to the number of videos you can add to your Rise 360 course. Let us know if you're having trouble with video uploads, and we'll lend a hand!
Brilliant, that is good to know, as I am creating an on boarding course and requires a number of videos. I would like to keep the videos HD so the file size of each video is fairly large.
I am having trouble uploading one video, help would be great thank you.
Sure thing, Sean! If you don't mind sharing the video file with us, please send it to our team by clicking here. We'll test it on our side and let you know what we find!
Does file-size/ bitrate matter (except from uploading time) in terms of how fast the course will load? Or are videos re-encoded anyway on the server-side?
Great question! The video file size and bitrate do not matter, as long as the file is less than the maximum size of 5GB.
Rise 360 re-encodes videos when you upload them. Rise also compresses videos so they have smaller file sizes while maintaining quality, converting videos to H.264 video and AAC audio in MP4 containers.
When a learner takes a course, their experience playing the video is dependent on their connection. The video does not load for the learner until they press the play button.
Hello, Walter! I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble uploading a video. Have you tried deleting the video block, then logging out of Rise? If you still cannot upload the video after logging back in, we'd want to take a closer look.

I am also having this issue consistently with files that are less than 10mb in size. I have a network with 86mbs upload speeds so I am a bit perplexed by this. Sometimes it helps to exit Rise and try again but not always.
Alyssa, I'm also having this issue with videos not processing. I had one that went for two days and didn't finish (99 mb). I deleted the block and replaced it this morning, and its been going for over an hour at the "processing" remark. My internet speed is quite high (230mb+) so I know its not my connection. I've checked the video for problems as well and didnt find any. Any advice you have would be most appreciated!
Hello Donald and Concetta! I'm sorry to hear you're both having trouble uploading video files to Rise 360.
The process should never take more than a few minutes, so there's no need to let it process for hours. If you notice a lag in processing, first try logging out and logging back into Rise 360. Switching to a different web browser may also do the trick.

I too, had this issue today. A very slow load of a video under the limits. Any tips for getting it to load and process faster?

Is there a maximum number of videos you can have in a Rise course? For example 10 videos (which are roughly 500 mbs each)

That answers my question perfectly. Thank you.
I'm getting the eternal processing video message followed by "there was an error" with 150mb mp4 video files. Any workaround?
