Enhancement Request: Expanded Labeled Graphic Customization & Native 3D/360° Media
Hi Articulate Team & Community,
The Labeled Graphic block in Rise 360 is an incredible tool for visual learning, but expanding marker customization and media compatibility would make it vastly more versatile for technical walkthroughs, UI guides, and interactive training.
It would be fantastic to see the following enhancements considered for Labeled Graphic block in Rise 360:
- Extended Numbering & Lettering Support: Expanding numbering and lettering support to at least 20 (or allowing custom numerical ranges) would prevent the need to split complex process maps across multiple blocks. Additionally, adding alphabetical options (A–Z) would give authors flexibility for non-sequential or alternative visual keys.
- Multi-Color Markers (Sets & Groups): The option to assign multiple colors—or set distinct color groupings—within a single graphic block. For example, grouping steps by category (e.g., green for Start/Pre-setup, red for Stop/Post-setup, or different colors for distinct workflow stages) would dramatically improve visual hierarchy.
- Custom Marker Sizing: Adding controls to adjust marker sizes would be a huge quality-of-life improvement, allowing authors to mark dense UI screenshots or fine detail areas without obscuring critical content behind large icons.
- Dedicated Process Icons & Custom Uploads: Including dedicated workflow icons (like Start, Finish, Begin, or End markers) or allowing custom SVG/PNG icon uploads—similar to Note blocks—would help courses stay strictly aligned with custom brand design systems.
- 3D & 360° Media: Not just the labeled graphic, but, in general, bringing 3D file support or interactive 360° image capabilities into Rise 360—similar to 360° image features in Storyline 360—would revolutionize product tours, spatial safety modules, and equipment training. While embedding a Storyline block is an option, having native 3D/360 options directly in Rise would be a game-changer for teams that build almost exclusively in Rise 360.
These features would offer much greater control over visual instructional design in Rise 360. Hopefully, these feature ideas resonate with others or give the Articulate team some great inspiration for future Rise 360 updates to Labeled Graphics and 3D/360 media!
Thanks, and have a beautiful day!
