Make your Engage 360 interactions relatable with an ever-growing library of photographic and illustrated characters from Content Library 360.

Adding a Character

Select the step where you want to add a character, then click the Character icon in the media panel.

When the character browser opens, choose a character, expression, pose, and perspective, then click Insert.

Choose a character, expression, pose, and perspective; then click the Insert button.

If the character you want to use isn’t installed on your computer yet, hover over it and click the Download from 360 button that appears. (An orange circle with an exclamation point will appear if you’re disconnected from Articulate 360.)

Click "Download from 360" to add a character to your local library.

Click the filters on the left side of the character browser to narrow your search. (To turn off a filter, just click the category again.)

Use the drop-down in the upper right corner to change the sort order, and use the slider in the bottom left corner to zoom in and out.

Adjusting Character Properties

After adding a character, you can adjust the properties displayed below it in the media panel. (These properties aren't available for media tour interactions.)

Choose where you want the character to display in your published interaction.

Choose Automatic or Custom.

If you choose Automatic (the default option), Engage will adjust the size of the character so it fits in the allotted space in your published interaction.

If you choose Custom, enter the width and height in pixels.

Mark the Lock Aspect Ratio box to keep the character from being distorted when you adjust its size.

Choose how much of the character you want to display: Headshot, Torso, or Full.

Alternate Text

Enter text that describes the character, and screen readers will read it to your learners.

If you want to replace a character with a different media type altogether (picture or video), click the red X in the media panel to remove the character, then choose a different media type.
